Afghanistan: UK ‘shocked by scale and tempo’ of Taliban takeover, admits Dominic Raab | Politics Information

The UK authorities was “shocked by the dimensions and the tempo” with which the Taliban took management of Afghanistan, the international secretary has admitted.

Dominic Raab, who flew again to the UK final night time from a summer time vacation overseas, spoke after a COBRA assembly on Monday at which prime ministers and officers mentioned the unfolding disaster.
