The widow of an Olympic snowboarder killed in a fishing accident has given beginning to the couple’s daughter 15 months after his dying.

Alex “Chumpy” Pullin competed in three Winter Olympics for Australia and was his nation’s flag-bearer on the Sochi 2014 video games.

Ms Pullin has shared her conception journey in podcasts and on social media.

She introduced her being pregnant in June, posting on Instagram that she and Chumpy had been “dreaming for years” about having a child.

“Your Dad and I’ve been dreaming of you for years toddler. With a coronary heart wrenching plot twist within the center, I’m honoured to lastly welcome a chunk of the phenomenon that’s Chumpy again into this world!” she wrote.

In her podcast Darling, Shine she stated she and her husband had been making an attempt to conceive earlier than his dying however had been struggling and had been contemplating IVF remedy.
