A cow needed to be led again to its farm after wandering onto the motorway and blocking visitors in Staffordshire.
The animal was noticed by drivers on the M6 at Doxey late on Tuesday evening, the Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) stated.
It had acquired onto the carriageway after “idiots compelled and left a farmer’s gate open”, they added.
CMPG, which manages motorways in Staffordshire and the West Midlands, needed to shut the highway earlier than becoming a member of forces with Highways England and a few native farmers to coral the cow again to its area.
“She was safely walked off the community and again dwelling after an thrilling evening out,” CMPG wrote on Twitter.
“Many due to the drivers held up as we shut the carriageway, your persistence as we cope with these and different incidents is tremendously appreciated.”
