A 51-year-old man has died after a household of paddleboarders needed to be rescued from the ocean.

He was airlifted to hospital following the incident off Exbury within the New Forest, Hampshire, on Saturday afternoon.

He was pronounced useless at Southampton Common Hospital.

RNLI lifeboat crews from Cowes and Calshot additionally supplied help to 2 youngsters and a girl.
